Molybdenum disulfide in powder used to improve the tribological properties of engineering plastics. Thanks to a continuous worldwide monitoring, NACHMANN has selected qualified producers of both ore and milled product, in order to ensure an excellent quality consistency. Depending on the customer needs, different particle size distribution and purity are available.
Molybdenum Disulfide is available also in masterbatch form. The most important grades are dispersion of pure powder into Polyamide (40% or 50%), LDPE (50%) and EVA (70%)
How to Use
Molybdenum disulfide is mainly used in high-performance engineering plastics such as polyamide and POM. It’s generally used between 3% and 7% depending on the desired self-lubrication value.
It can be used in combination with other products, such as PTFE powder, in order to increase the tribological properties of the final compound.
