Plasticizer for Polyamide

Description and technical specifications

Nachmann, in co-operation with an important research group at Milan University, has developed a non-toxic polymeric plasticizer for Polyamide, able to replace sulfonamide derivatives that are normally used in this application. This plasticizer is a liquid co-polymer based on esters and amides that can be used to reduce the glass transition temperature and consequently the flexural modulus of Polyamide.

How to Use

The plasticizer can be dosed into the melted polymer by a pump. It can be heated before the usage in order to reduce the viscosity and improve the dosage process. It’s typically used from 10% to 20% depending on the final requirements in terms of plasticization.
