Synthetic Zeolite

Synthetic Zeolite (aluminum sodium silicate) to be used as absorber of low molecular weight molecules. During the transformation of the polymers it can be used to reduce odorous emissions as it is able to absorb volatile substances having low molecular weight. Moreover it can be used as absorbers of volatile substances in plastic packaging for longer storage foods.

Synthetic Zeolite can also be used as synergistic additive in flame retardant formulations. Synthetic zeolites are available as both hydrated and activated. The process of activation leads to the elimination of crystallization water; in this case zeolites are generally more active but very hygroscopic substances.
