Wollastonite

Inorganic acicular filler used to improve the mechanical properties of the polymers. Thanks to its acicular structure requires a low amount of resin and permits to increase the flexural modulus and HDT values.

It’s an excellent additive for improving the dimensional stability and to control the shrinkage of the finished products. Moreover, thanks to its high degree of white, can be used partially to replace the titanium dioxide in order to reduce formulation costs.

Wollastonite also presents some thermo-conductive properties and it can be combined with other fillers, such as boron nitride, to formulate thermo-conductive compounds.
